I have 7 Amber Links, I am trying to figure out if they are males or females, I have read a lot on different ways to tell, so was wondering if anyone could help me out
Congrats and Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 6 amber links pullets myself and the one in the third pic could possible be a male but I'm not quite sure, I rely on my poultry guy to do all the sexing!
Thanks,
I have 5 Wyandotte's, when we got them they were already laying, so raising the little ones are new, very fun. My cat loves to poke her paw in the cage, or just sit outside it and watch them.
I really enjoy them, my 3 yr old granddaughter loves to help take care of them.
I have 4 Amberlinks about the same age... fun! I was suppose to have all pullets but at 1wk old I suspected I had a little roo in the bunch.... and I do for sure. Your third pic tooks a lot like a little roo. My roo has been feathering out later than the pullets. Larger comb already and a lot more brown in the feathering. At only 1wk old I noticed "he" stood and walked around like a little roo though he was still only a little fuzz butt and I made the comment to my dh that we had a roo amonst the sexed pullets. So I'd check for larger, redder combs, slower feathering in than the pullets and possibly more brown. The roo's will start standing upright, taller also.
