My question, at 3 weeks is this something that can be cured? She/he was like that since day 1. I'm wondering if I can return her/him to Farm store for an exchange. Perhaps you all can save me from embarrassment by letting me know if this is something you can do :0). Thanks in advance!

. "Durpy" (son named the chick :(

Hmm... Maybe that's the wrong chick. I'll take a photo today. It's amazing how fast they change within a few days

Your chick has "wry neck". Other terms: Crazy chick disease, Vitamin E encephalopathy. If you treat right away, you might save it. Best fix: Get some vitamin E into it immediately. Also, Poultry nutri-drench will go a long way to helping the chick make a good recovery. I nicked a vitamin E capsule, and wiped some on the chick's beak. Nutri-drench can be given full strength. I never put a drop of anything in a chick's mouth, but, if you hold the droplet up to the chick's beak, he should suck it in. I also gave a few grains shaved off a selenium tablet to the chick I was treating. Treat several times/day as long as symptoms last. I am not a vet, and am not qualified to give animal medical advice, just telling you want worked for me in my situation. Do the research, and then choose your own course of action. Is the chick eating and drinking?

You can also treat wry nect with Poly-Vi-Sol infant vitamins. Just make sure you get the kind without iron. Ive successfully treated chicks with this. You can buy it at Wal-Mart

Thank you all!! I'll head to walmart and let you know how it goes. I was afraid it was too late.

Yes, Durpy appears to be eating well, growing like a weed.
