Is #4 on your new pics the same chick as #2 in your first pics? Its comb looks to be pinker than it should be for 3-4 weeks old. Is it pinker than all the rest of the chicks' combs when you look at it in person?

I'd say you're pretty lucky - it looks like might be all girls, but #4 is throwing me off because of its comb. You should post pictures again in a couple weeks (once they're all feathered out) to double check.

Hi again Arizona....yes #2 in the first set of pics is #5 in the second set. I looked at the comb on him/her, it looks a darker flesh color, not really pink....and it looks like the middle line on the comb is bigger than the two outer lines...

Thanks so much for looking, I will post pics of that one for sure in a couple of weeks.....I'll still keep my fingers crossed.....if all girls....DH will be so happy!!!

If I get lucky this time, I'll only purchase sexed chicks and if my Harriet goes broody next year, I'm just going to slip them under her. Hatching and buying straight run chicks is to much of a gamble, and I keep them all.....my poor DH doesn't want to have to build any more coops...
