This girl is having issues. She has a hard red abdomen and red feet. I have given antibiotics (fish mox)for three days and she is pulling out of something slowly. I have given her warm epsom salt soaks and 1000 mg calcium for maybe being egg bound. Her crop empties . She was looking like she was a goner (not eating or drinking) before the antibiotics. I'm really at a loss. She has been a reliable egg a day girl for as long as I remember and came from a Hoover's Egg Producer pack. These girls work too hard and never take a break and it cuts down their life expectancy with reproductive issues. Any other recommendations I don't know about? I am the "nearest vet" and I'm not one, but by her own admission, the local vet doesn't know much about chickens, so vet isn't an option.

How much fish mox are you giving her? Do you mind getting a picture of her? Does she waddle when she walks? Any labored breathing?
Continue giving her the calcium, incase there is something she needs to pass.

I have given her the 250 mg amoxicillin (aquamox) at 6:00 pm on Friday, another saturday morning at 10:00 am, and another at 4:00 pm, because i was going to be gone for 24 hours. I gave her another dose tonight at 5:00 and a 1000 calcium. She seemed worse after the calcium. She waddles a bit when she walks and her abdomen, between her legs is red and pretty hard. The skin between her toes and her feet are red and/or pinkish which is unusual. I feel her comb is a bit redder than usual. I would have to get a pic after work tomorrow (if she is still alive)/

No labored breathing, that I can notice.

Keep giving her the 250mg of amoxicillin twice a day for 10-14 days.
How often have you gave the calcium?
