30 week old EE pullet. No eggs yet!

Just checking in with other EE owners. This is not my first EE hen, but definately my first EE pullet to not lay an egg by 30 weeks.

Is this common to this breed and I've just been lucky in the past????? She better start earning her keep soon!

My EE's started laying around 22 weeks. Are you sure the EE isn't laying brown eggs ?

Uggg!!! My three EEs are 22 weeks today. If I have to wait 30 weeks or more, I'll go crazy. Keep us posted!

Personally, I never expect a hen to start laying this time of year. In my experience, if they haven't started in November, they're not gonna lay until March.

It's probably due to the season.

I know this thread is a few days old, but I just wanted to say that it is possible she will lay. My EE was 30-something (I gave up keeping count) weeks when she laid her first egg in late Nov/early Dec. Has been laying 3-4x's a week since.

I did not think my ameraucana was laying, she is an EE, but she was hiding her eggs. She must have started at about 22 weeks around mid December.

Mine finally started laying at 10 months old, just a couple weeks ago.

KristyAz, you've got me beat. My little EE Dovie is about 34 weeks old and not laying yet. Good thing she is so cute and friendly, otherwize, well...........
