Open Coop for Winter

I live in the South and started raising Buff Orphingtons.

I used a 10 x 20 greenhouse frame for my chicken coop build. Hardware cloth 12" below and 12" above and the 1' steel welded wire for the rest including wooden door and such. I'm currently using two tarps covering about 2/3 of the coop for their roosting areas, nesting boxes and Little Giant feed and waterer.

I was thinking about putting the green house cover on for the coldest part of the winter for warmth. Probably mid Dec to early March.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

The greenhouse cover would likely make it get way too hot in there. How cold does it get where you live?
