I think I will try the heated bricks as well, what can it hurt? Thanks for the advice on blankets causing more issues than good, guess I won't try that!
It was -33F this AM, chickens were pretty puffed up and 2 didn't want to move off the roost when I brought some warm breakfast and water out to them. Around noon, I opened the pop door and they were all happy to get out of the coop and into the covered run. No frost bite that I could see, but one of the sussex was shaking a bit from being cold. :-(
Supposed to be another cold night with -50F below windchills. I am so ready for summer already!!
