3D Printed 3-Tier Brooder Box Chick Roost

I wanted to share my latest creation with the community. Its a three-level baby chick roost bar designed for use inside brooder boxes! While I am fairly new to owning my own flock, I am a creator at heart and like to come up with my own designs if I can to help myself as well as others with functional designs. It also helps reduce the cost of a lot of things as well.

This roost measures 250mm (9.8in) long, stands about 75mm (3in) tall, and is 150mm (6in) deep. The three-tier design lets multiple chicks roost together, encouraging natural behaviors and socialization. I focused on making the structure rigid, so it won’t flex or wobble, even with several chicks perched at once. The arched ends give it extra stability while also making it easy to clean and move around inside the brooder.

The bars are easily accessible for chicks as young as a few days old, but still useful as they grow. Seeing my own flock happily hopping from bar to bar has been incredibly rewarding, and I hope this model brings the same joy and enrichment to your brooder.

It's very cute but a few sticks from the yard, scrap wood and spare screws can cobble together something... adequate.
