Ouch. That must suck. My incubator door fell off a few weeksback when I was hatching quail, I had around 120 eggs in I ad the temp. Was 70 degs. I lost half my chickens and a duck. Only 30 quail hatched successfully, and it was only off a max of 7 hrs.

I was down to 5 that I can't even see through. The PO was not gentle with the box, so none of the quail made it and after this, is nothing hatches I'll check them. I had to oozers. Yuck! Had to switch turners out last week. So frustrating. I just knew that since I didn't have my nose against the window, that I'd have early hatchers coming home. So upsetting. It was much warmer at the time, but I had a broody that left her nest for 2 days and since there was just no space to stack anything at that time, I left them to see if she'd sit again. They did hatch and I think she went back when she heard them pipping. Not sure though, but she raised them. Who knows? Maybe I'll get a New Years miracle. 50 degress though! That's a huge drop and I was gone almost 48 hours.

. I think I must have had a temp spike/drop early on. I started with 38, but now I'm down to 2 RIR eggs I bought.

I hope they hatch.
An emu egg will be goin in the bator next. I have 12 blue/black cayuga eggs in the other one that I set Wednesday from Boggy Bottoms.

Is there a breed such as feather legged americaunas? Coz i'd like to add some of them to my flock. I have a mixed americauna rooster that's also part brahma. He's gorgeous.
