DH & I just scooped our 4 silkie babes out of the bator and settled them into the brooder. We have some good zipping going on so I think we'll watch a movie until it gets closer to midnight, Pacific coast.
One of the silkies is a full day old now and was thankful for the food and vitamin water. Real strong chick, I'm thrilled.
I would love to accomodate u, but can't figure out the clock... Also, got several chirping in there and the one pipped.... still. Everyone else is sleeping away to the sound of fireworks.
*yawn* how many people participated in the new years hatch? It doesn't seem like many people are posting info and pics... and plenty of people have had duddy hatches... I always do better in the winter than summer or spring. Well, good luck to y'all...
BYP should. Create a 'Wanted' eggslist. I would trade americana eggs for coachin eggs. Or easter eggers.
And I know howyou feel SunnyCalifornia, I've lost count of the chickens I've lost. I try not to get too attatched. Afterthe fourth or fifth bird I quit crying... I guess that's not a good thing when you're a kid. 'Supposedly' my generation is desensitised. Bah! So not true. Only some are.
But aaanyways, good luck to y'all, id share some chicks(if I had any right now) with SC, but you kinda live across the country.. waaay too far...
Ok, my official chick is out. 00:37:51. It's impossible to take a pic through a brinsea and an ipad at the same time so did what I could. if it doesn't count that's ok.
here's the pics.
It's the egg near my turken in my first pic. Just decided to bust out right when I wanted to go to sleep.
I think it's an EE, but could be something cooler. It was one of those 'chance' auctions for blue eggs. Tiny little guy (or gal). No room to move in that bator so hopefully they sit a while.

I'll take it... but I'm not a judge! Have no idea how I'll link the brinsea with the laptop if I should need to. Congrats on your little blue egg baby!!!
I'm getting the impression those easter eggers (lol, or cooler) are real party animals! They are the only ones hatching in my 'bator! (shhh, the rest are sleeping...)
