SCG: is your BF the bomb, or what?? I would love to come home to a brooder.
#7 is hatched! Another EE, this one's egg was a terrific pale blue, I SOOO hope it is a hen!
3 pipped and 2 zipped.
We snuck the incubator in the hotel back door and up the back steps (all 7 floors). It says 'no dogs allowed'. But absolutely nothing about poultry... we're just not taking any chances. My DH says 'they're Chicken of the Sea'. Har har har!
Lot of pipping going on. I haven't heard any peeps or anything yet, but everything left in the bator was doing great on lock down day.
Just to be sure, having set 11am on the 11th, what is the optimal hatch time. Were we looking for new years eve, or day? When is zero hour (keeping in mind they rarely hit very close to zero hour)....
My wonderful husband vaccuumed out my brooder box!
Only cuz he is putting shelves in the little shed where the brooder box is kept and he likes things clean. Won't last long, eh??
Went to the feed store to get some hay, mainly for the horses but also cuz I like to give the baby chicks alfalfa as a nice high protein green food, and they are out, have been out and are unsure when they are going to have more!
Sure hope we get rain soon...
love the hamster on a string and all the cute baby chickies!! And Michelle your roo is very pretty!!
