This is the thread to sign up to swap eggs for the 3rd Annual NYD Hatch. The thread for that hatch is located here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=590706&p=1


Rules:
1. You must be 18 years or older to participate (because your address will be sent to someone! - NO PO BOXES TO RECEIVE)
2. You must be enrolled in the 3rd Annual NYD Hatch
3. You must live in one of the 50 states of the USA
4. You must sign up to be part of this swap by 20 November 2011. No additions after that date, period.
5. You are responsible for the cost of shipping your eggs when you receive the address. I've shipped a few times and it can cost up to 20$ for 3 day USPS shipping. If you are unfamiliar with how to package eggs for shipping there are many threads on here with different methods. You must protect your eggs when shipping.
6. Chicken eggs shipped must arrive to your recipient between 7 and 10 December 2011 - will update this if we get any other egg types
7. Eggs shipped must not be older than 4 days old.
8. Please, for the love of hatching, if you sign up please go through with the swap. We cannot make you send your eggs, but you will disappoint someone at the other end. Let's keep that to a minimum, folks.
9. You must be willing to receive any type of chicken egg from this swap. Mutts are allowed and encouraged. If you do not want a particular breed, please list that when you sign up and I will do my BEST to accommodate your desires. If you have never seen a turken or a showgirl, please google that and imagine it running around your yard prior to signing up for this swap.
10. BYC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SWAP. BYC is not responsible for egg sent, received or not received. Please do not pm a moderator about your eggs. PM me. If you do not receive your eggs I can not make them send them. Please remember since these are shipping eggs, they do not have guarantee on hatch rate due to shipping and/or incubation methods.


In order to accommodate all the different types of hatch-a-holics we have, you can offer eggs in quantities of 6, 12 or 24 only. The minimum to play is 6 eggs. To receive a wider variety you may offer multiple 6 packs (thus improving the odds you will receive shipments from multiple people) but remember the cost to you would be increased as you'd be sending multiple egg shipments.

To sign up please reply to this thread with how many eggs you're offering, what type(s) (type: designer mutt is acceptable) and any special instructions/desires.

Again, one last plead from me: if you sign up for this swap please have every intention of carrying it out (to both send and receive). I do not want any disappointed hatchers. Remember I cannot make you send your eggs, but I can send my Turken Army to come there and poop in your yard.

Any eggs..LF or bantam are fine for me. No ducks or quail please. Unless it is call ducks

I can send chicken, button quail or duck. Some may be pure breeds and I will mark each egg.

Are you choosing who our eggs go to...like a mystery swap ? or does each person request what they would like ? or not like ?

I am hoping my remaining roo gets his business together in the next few weeks so I can join, too. I've always wanted to do a mystery egg swap... although the fact that I'm the coordinator means it won't be much of a mystery

Well..lucky for you my Silkies are too young to lay & my Polish are just not laying cause they don't feel like it.
