The 3rd Annual Rocky Mountain Chickenstock will be held on Saturday May 3rd 2014 in Idaho Falls Idaho. "The last two years have been a huge success with over 300 in attendance each year. We gave away more than 200 chicks to 4H kids, had classes on poultry showing and keeping, and had a great time meeting fellow BYCers face to face and making more chicken friends.. Last year we added a show and had breeders bring chicks of various ages for sale. We also had t-shirts made..

The website is www.rockymountainchickenstock.com and I will also update information on this thread. Come and show off your favorite chook (maybe even win something) or buy some new birds from one of our great breeders to raise for next year!!

Plan now to attend and visit beautiful Eastern Idaho this Spring!!

Yay!!
I will probably only be able to take preorders this year for chicks & won't be able to stay the whole time.... But excited to see ya'll!!
I am planning on hatching wheaten marans, olive eggers, bantam cochins & maybe a few bantam Easter eggers this year...

Is this just for chickens? I raise coturnix quail and might have chicks for sale around that time.

I got quail eggs there last time! But, it was prearranged with someone on here to meet up and make the exchange. As far as buying chickens goes, there is a lot of pre-arranging sales on here ahead of time, then meeting up at the Chickenstock itself, then people know what to take/transport.

I did the same thing. Prearranged for some quail eggs. I wish someone had some Valley or Mountain quail that I could buy at chickenstock

Quail seem to be big right now. Branching out to other types of fowl, I purchased several turkey eggs last year, which was pre-arranged. The seller also brought extra turkey eggs and a few duck eggs, as well. If I get to go this year, I'm going to be in sooo much trouble, haha.
