Gabby is trying to find a neat science fair project and is trying to think of something that is assoicated with her best friends, her chickens. She is in the process of hatching eggs right now, so far 6 have hatched. She has hatched her eggs several times and has been keeping track of the process just for her own enjoyment and education. She will not do the classic "embroyo development" to her eggs. She was thinking of humidity and temperature eeffect on hatching, don't know how to show that for a project, especially since they are hatching now. So any good unique ideas with chickens or chicks, she has two weeks to science fair date.

I've been trying to get my fourth grade daughter to do one on how the eggs actually develop inside the chicken, which is a neat process all in itself! Feather development is cool, too.

My dd is doing one on the affects of temps on egg production in our 3 hens that are kept in a non-insulated metal shed.

Maybe there are posters she could use that show pics of normal development and when things go wrong.

Science projects like GRAPHS with cause an effect.

They like to see that the 'scientific" method was used.

a few years ago i did a report on whether chickens are more attracted to a certain color a bread for my science report
