Can someone show me a picture of how to splint a duck leg/foot?

My duckling won't use the leg much and mostly sits. I have checked the leg and can't find a problem. The foot is not webbed out either.

Can you post a picture of the duckling? It is hard for me to picture the whole problem from text (yes, I am one of those visual types)

(I will be on and off today - but trying to help)

And if there is no webbing on the foot, there may be other structural concerns, too, which would affect the best way to splint it.

Here are a couple of pics, but I'm not sure how much they will help.

He kind of walks/scoots like he can't put weight on the leg very long.

In the second picture, I had to help him stand up.
(Sorry, they are 4 weeks, not 3)

Here are pics of teo different types of treatment I have used to correct leg and foot issues with Ducks and geese. The goose had splay leg and the duckling was unable to flatten out its toes to walk properly.

Splay leg is caused not only by poor flooring but also by nutritional problems. Make sure you are feeding a good quality duckling starter and not chicken starter.

You can use a towel or other "grippy" surface for flooring and carefully hobble their legs so they are underneath the bird. Be very careful ! Or better yet, have a vet do this so the skin is not damaged or the circulation is not cut off to their legs.

The duckling has to start moving about "normally" soon, because this does not "self heal".
