4 Araucanas and a Silkie genders???

The Araucanas are 9 weeks old
Is that old enough to tell if they are a roo or a hen? Also, is this silkie a roo? He's my only silkie with a comb and he's a jerk!

Yep, the silkies is a roo and looks like you have 2 pullets and 2 cockerels with the araucanas.

So far, only one Araucana cockerel....the little guy on the right in the first picture.

I'm not positive about your Silkie, as these generally take months upon months to determine. However, that is quite the comb.

You don't think the last araucana is a cockerel? Skin is awfully red on the face even tho it doesn't have as much comb yet.

At this point, I'm leaning towards pullet. Yes, the face on that youngster is quite "red," but there's virtually no comb or wattles to speak of.

Hmm, I have had a couple cockerels develop late but always had the red skin so am curious to see if this breed will do the same or not. Please keep us posted on them on what they turn out to be.

Silky cockerel, 2 Araucana pullets, 1 Araucana cockerel, and perhaps the last Araucana pictured is a cockerel - hoping for pullet.

That's about what I thought on the first 3 (so I'm getting better at this ha ha) but that last one has me stumped. I'm so bummed the double tuft Araucana is a Cockerel. Maybe he'll never crow and I can keep him. I can dream right?
