4 buff Brahmas, gender?

we have 4 buff brahmas we bought from TSC, hatch date approximately March 22. I was curious how soon you can start seeing hackles and saddle feather differences? The pictures are not the best but I tried to compile a but of them over the last couple months. Thank you.

Those are some intense combs at 9 wks don't you think?

Are you referring to color or size of the combs? I think the pictures make them look darker red. Compared to my 8 month old light brahmas and how they developed I’ve thought the first is a cockerel and the other 3 were pullets. The 2nd I questioned in the beginning but the first has always acted, feathered, and carried “himself “ differently. I’d love all pullets, would figured out 4 cockerels, but be happy with 3 pullets and a cockerel.

Early on I was curious and told “too early” which I expected but was eager lol. I’ve had heard “all pullets” and “all cockerels”. Obviously the crow or egg will ultimately determine but man the wait is hard, especially with these slow to grow/ feather/ mature.

As a side note does anyone else this the first has the starts of pointed hackles and saddle feathers? The other 3 seem much more rounded ‍

I’ve got 7 Buff Brahmas born March 26, and one of them is a cockerel. He looks a lot like your pic #10, with the “pantaloon” feathering
and bright three-row comb. All your head shots show a pretty bright comb and looks like three rows? My pullets have single row tan or peach combs and no “pantaloons.”

The one in #10 is the one I have thought was a cockerel from day one. I’ll try and find some “baby” pictures of my light brahmas for comparison. I thought they all had 3 rows, just different growth?
