4 chickens and 1 egg

There isn't very many feathers on the ground. It does get dark at 5 o'clock as for I am in Missouri. Our temperatures are in the 40s to 60s right now. I have been watching the wether and its suppose to get colder this weekend. I will get a light put in the coop. Plus I don't have any windows in my coop currently. I am planning on putting some in. I just haven't had time to install them.

Thank you everyone for the advise. BYC has been a great resource for information.

so best I can find is yes the comb can go pale when molting but not always. Best bet would probably be treat for worms check for mites and observe for other signs of stress or illness. Other wise give it time it could just be the limited light

Welcome to Backyard chickens. If you can post some photos of the non laying hens maybe we can figure out what they need. Are they eating and drinking well? I am wondering why their combs would be dried out looking unless they are much older than you were told. or ailing.

Moving, molting, changes in diet and a whole lot of other things will cause stress which impacts laying. If your birds are healthy, just give them a bit more time.
