I' ve been incubating eggs for about 3 or 4 days now, and yesterday I noticed a little red spot on the some of the yolks when candling them. today the spots are much bigger, (maybe a centimeter in diameter) but I don't see any prominent veins yet. can someone provide an accurate egg candling chart or a picture/description of what they should look like at 4 days?

While four days is a bit soon to candle, it can be done. Those red spots indicate early development. As the embryo grows the veining becomes more prominent. There are many (free) candling pictures and charts online; I am sure you will have no problem finding what you want.

Around day 6-7 you will likely be able to see the little heart beating. Which is really cool.
Yes, I've seen that with duck eggs, and it's super cool that you are able to see that process of life inside the egg!
My chicken eggs have darker shells, so it's harder to spot. oh well.
