4 day old guinea fowl with an injured eye

Could anyone give me advice on what I can do to help my 4 day old guinea fowl. He has been pecked in the eye and part of his eyelid is missing and his eye is watering. Is there anything I could use to wash it with or cover it with to help him? Thanks.

Use saline to wash the eye. There are eye washes for eye injuries or you can use saline for contact lenses. Try to get antibiotic eye ointment from the feed store. My co-op carries it here. Or order it off the net.
