4 day old Sebastapol baby with a bloody "umbilical" stump

I got two 2-day-old Sebastapol goslings 2 days ago. The little girl had a "stump" and I understood that it should fall off after a few days. Today I noticed her bill had a bit of blood on it, and there is blood around the stump. What to do?? Pics in a bit when I can get a good one.
She´s just nibbling the umbilical, isn´t she? Do you think you could somehow get a little bandage wrapped around her so you can treat it, then it can start to heal without being opened up? It´d only be a couple of days. I´m sure you could do it, just do a figure-of-eight around her wings...OR even a little 'dress' to cover the front of her and little holes for the wings to hold it in place? Then a little popper or velcro to make it stay closed over her back? I doubt you can get a cone for a gosling!

I found a betadine swab in my medicine cabinet, and wiped it well. She must have taken a bit of a bath, too, and it looks much better. I'll put some neo and figure-8 a coban around her for a few days. I'll keep you updated :)

And try to keep her dry till it has a chance to heal [I know easier said than done]
