Good Day Everyone-

Correct me if i'm wrong but once the ducklings are at 3 months old and the outside temp is over 50 degrees, they are able to be transferred outside to live. We currently have 4 ducks, 2 Mallard and 2 Pekin. I am currently looking around for Duck coops to get ahead of the game. Every coop i look at seems to be too small. If you purchased your Duck coop online, please copy and paste the link to the coop down below so i can check it out.

Also, what type of bedding is best for coops? I read hay straw is good for warmth and bedding but once it gets wet, it can turn moldy and have a smell to it. I also read about shavings. Any other good options?

Any other advice would be much appreciated.

I have done so much research and of course everyone has different information and different opinions, but 3 months is what i was reading online. 1 Mallard is almost a month, 2 Pekin's are probably a little over a month, 1 Mallard is not even a week old yet. Due to the 1 Week Mallard and the other 3 ducks bullying him, he was put into his own coop which meant that he has the heating plate. the other ducklings are off the heat completely and have been doing really good, the area of the house they are in is always warm and they have each other to warm up next too. This weekend i was going to introduce them to the outside for a little. Do you have any heat source in their coop during the winter?

Well I definitely run heat for my Call Ducks . I use straw too over a bed of shavings. I'm in North Central Alberta, Canada though
No heat yet though . Good till -10C...
Ducklings are very tough. Definitely can handle cooler temps.

How often do you change out the hay and shavings in their coop? Im in New Jersey USA. Im literally looking for all the information i need especially for the upcoming winter time.

Definitely depends on weather. The amount of time they are actually in the house. My Run is covered and I use vapour barrier plastic on the sides to block out wind.

Would you mind posting multiple pictures below so i can get a visual idea of how it looks! i would greatly appreciate it. That's actually a good idea though.

My Ducks pen..from the inside. I’ll run out and send better outside photos
Where the lamp is hanging I put straw in that spot..
This year I have a different winter pen but that's what I've had over the years.
