I am for the first time trying my hand at incubating my chicken eggs. HELP! I have a small 4 egg incubateur and was wondering do I let chicken hatch in the incubateur ? It seems so small. I have read that I should leave them in until they dry completely, up to 48 hours. It is so small they wouldn’t be able to move around at all.

It is a New Technology. No haven’t put any eggs in yet. Grandson coming next week so thought it would be fun project while he’s here. Ps can I tell if eggs are fertile before I put in incubator or do I have to wait for days after to check them? Thanks so much for any info.

You'll need to candle them at day 7, 14, 18/lockdown. Have you read the Hatching 101 article/thread by Sally Sunshine in the Incubating and Hatching Chicks? Very informative & helpful. Enjoy your time with your Grandson, hope he'll be there for the hatch (est 21 days)

I sure haven’t yet but will definitely do so. Thank you for your help. Ps sending 4 egg back. Looked at reviews on the one I got. Not good at all. So ordered a different one with 5 Star ans room for chicks after hatching. Whew! Feel better now. Ty again.
