4 eggs out of 13 1-1/2 year old hens??!!

My girls just started back up in jan 15. They laid 3-4 eggs a day and stopped 4 days ago. What's happening??

Did you have a spell of sunny days? I notice that we get more eggs when it's sunny for 2-3 days in a row but the numbers goes down again when the rain returns.

It rained for 3 days and today was sunny

Maybe they will pick up again when the sun comes back!

The days are just now starting to lengthen back out, so production will pick up from here on out. When they resume laying after a molt it can be pretty sporadic, just like when they start laying. Some days I get eight eggs, some days three. In two more months I fully expect to get about fifteen a day. Just have to wait for more daylight.
