This is a thread for anyone who is in 4-H! I am starting this thread for people to meet people and talk about breeding and showing your birds and animals. To start out say your name and the breed(s) of chickens that you have, and any other kinds of animals.

I am Alex and I have seramas, And in 4-H I am showing Dairy Goats and horses, And I might try my hand at meat birds this year

i am 'Mrs. D' and my kids and grandkids are in 4-H. They show poultry and livestock and we will be showing dairy goats for the first time this year. In the poultry arena we've done exhibition Marans, Orpingtons, Hollands, ect; last year was egg production (until AI halted all PA State sponsored shows) and meat production. We also do Avian Bowl, Poultry Judging and poultry skill a thons. Good times. Looking forward to learning more from you 4-Hers. [IMG]

That's great news! Our State Fair is in January and we are still unable to show live poultry (even though we haven't had any cases of AI in PA). :barnie We will be having a poultry less poultry show there where the kids can still compete in showmanship but with no actual birds.

. $400!! Wow! That's great. We've raised turkeys before but just for us to eat.

U.S. Too! Lots of posters. We also had a skill a thon which was fun.
