Good Afternoon,

My boys raise Chickens and Turkeys for county and state fair level projects. Anyone out there came up with a great formula feed? Use Purina Show Chow, trying to cut some cost, especially for the Turkeys as it is a longer term project and more of them. Thanks in advance.

It is an organization where area farmers have pooled resources to manage prices for products they need to operate. The game bird feed I purchase through the Missouri Farmers Association (our local co-op) is 10 to 20% less costly that similar products purchased through businesses like Tractor Supply, Orschelns or Rural King which are alternatives here.

Additionally, our co-op, like many others supports our 4-H. I am a 4-H project leader for 3 counties concerning a particular type of special topics and have been a poultry project leader for three years prior. Cost is thus always high on my mind.
