Quote from our premium book:

"Poultry exhibited must be of this year's hatch, (except advanced classes)."

What's an 'advanced' class? Is that a breeding pen, or is it based on your experience, or something else?

In a 4h show advanced would typically refer to your experience and the only birds they would limit the age on would be ones that were being shown as a meat bird to be sold, but maybe they do things different where you are. I would contact the fair or show you are planing on going to and ask them.

Thanks! I emailed our 4-H poultry person. She said that all the birds have to be of this year's hatch except for the Show & Hobby category and the pigeons breeding class.
