I am wanting to do 4-h.We have 7 acers fenced in i might do chickens but i want something else what should i do COW
GOAT
PIG
HORSE or
SHEEP

At our county youth fair, market hogs are VERY popular. The initial cost is less than a steer, but you're required to sell them at the fair auction. Does your fair have auctions? Do you want to keep your animal, or sell it at the fair? Best of luck; growing up, I loved being a part of 4-H!

Depends on what you want and what your local 4-H offers. Mine do large livestock but not chickens or other poultry.
Horses around here are big money so for us that would be a bit out of budget.

Then I would start with a goat That way you get experience in showing and know the ins and outs of the program.
Plus then you would know how much time you have to devote to the program.
Move up to a horse later.

My DD just started this year with 2 lambs and a rabbit. The lambs are bums and follow her everywhere.
