4 Laying Hens For Sale

I am in Paducah, KY and we are about to put our house on the market. Unfortunately, we are going to have to sell or find a new home for our four laying hens. They are sweet, very gentle, like receiving affection and have been fabulous around our yard/garden. They are all just over 3yrs of age and still laying regularly. I have (2) Rhode Island Reds, (1) Golden Laced Wyandotte and (1) Barred Rock. If anyone is interested in negotiating a fair price please contact me at [email protected]

Hi there.

At the stated age.. a fair price would be no more than $5 each and I would consider giving them away in order to move forward on a a much higher priority. Bless someones' life with some wonderful hens and it WILL come back around to you!

Craigslist farm and garden section is great place for just this type of thing. Since you KNOW they are hens... maybe even the pet section would be good.

I have seen some folks include their birds with the sell of their home.

No rudeness meant here... but you call them "quality" and with the variety you have of hens only... that tells me "hatchery quality". Which isn't always a bad thing and just a statement. For me, "healthy" would be a better selling word.

Selling a home and moving can be a real stress, I know. Hope it goes over well for you and you get settled into your new place quickly!

None taken, I appreciate the advice...I guess I just intended quality to mean they have been very well taken care of and they have been very good to us. I am willing to give to a good home or sell, I just want them to go to a good place and thought I would start on here.
