4 month old lays egg?

It's not unheard-of for 4 month old pullets to lay their first egg, and it's not uncommon that first eggs have some blood on them! Regardless of whether a rooster has bred them or not, hens will start laying at a different time, some maybe younger some maybe older

Ok... so this morning I discovered that I have 3 EE pullets laying. I believe they are competing now. I watch Sybil arrange the bedding in the nesting box she chose to her liking. Then Annabelle got in the box and rearranged it. Sybil had a fit! They took turns doing this for over and hour before Sybil left and egg. Today I found Annabelle doing her arranging again, but the way she was moving made me think she was going to lay an egg, but not while I was watching. I returned an hour later to find 3 eggs in the box. I was so excited. Now, the other 2 need to step up. lol 4 month old EE and my 8 month old Lavender Orphington. I guess these are all Olive Eggers because that is the color of the eggs. Very nice. We tried one yesterday... tasty!
