Hi everyone,
I have a four month old pullet that I noticed was struggling to walk forward. I brought her inside to isolate her. I have been giving her rooster booster for about five days, directly from a syringe once a day and in her water, along with regular feed and an egg daily. She has not improved. At this point, she is hardly standing or walking at all, and when she does, its mostly backward. She is sitting on her actual butt, where her vent is with her legs in front of her. Other than the walking, she is acting completely normal. She's eating, drinking, she just began clucking a day ago, but still peeps as well. She's alert and curious. She's pooping normally. I have checked her poop for blood, worms etc, and it all looks normal. Its not runny or anything, still just normal, healthy looking chicken poo. I try to take her outside when I can, but I keep her in my high tunnel to peck around. She can still see the other chickens but isn't in contact with them in case she has something that is possibly contagious. I have four other pullets that I got at the same time as her that have no problems. The older chickens aren't having any issues either. She still flaps her wings and tries to walk around. She doesn't grip my finger when I put it under her toes. I've been trying to work her legs as if she were riding a bicycle, just trying to keep them moving and to maintain some sort of mobility and strength. I'm not sure what else to do or how to help her. Any advice would be appreciated.
Im trying to upload a video, but I can't seem to. If I figure that out, I'll add it to my post.
Thanks everyone!

You can upload a video to YouTube or a similar site, and that usually works. Make it public. It sounds like she could be dealing with a riboflavin deficiency, but Mareks or an injury could also be the problem. Do you have a rooster or cockerel or hens that could have injured her? Rooster Booster is a brand name. Do you have the Vitamins with Lactobacillus or something like Poultry Cell? Whatever you use, it needs to have riboflavin which is vitamin B 2. I would get human vitamin super B complex which is cheap, and you can give her 1/2 tablet daily, and crush it into a little food, or give it orally by popping it into her beak. Equate brand at Walmart is very good to use.

Thank you for the reply. I have the Poultry cell liquid in the brown bottle and the vitamin powder in the white container. I think I already have the B Vitamins in my cabinet so I will try that.
It's just so weird. She has no other symptoms other than the walking backward/not walking. She hasn't improved at all.
I considered Mareks but the other four pullets have no issues and all the purge chickens are fine.
I do have large hens and roosters that could have possibly pecked her or something. I did think of that but it's impossible to know. I did check for any marks, bumps, scabs, etc and have found nothing. I feel so bad because she's so young and wants to be active but just cant. I might be able to make her a sling to help support her so she can get around a little.
Thank you for your suggestions. I'm going to give them a try.

We cannot the video. I have seen hens walk backwards when they were molting. Sometimes it accompanies wry neck symptoms where they can walk in circles, backwards, or have a twisted neck up down or to the side. Vitamin E 400 IU along with 1/2 tablet of B complex, can sometimes help. To help her walk, you could place a scarf or strap under her wings to hold her up and try to get her walking a couple of times a day.
