I have 2 hens (Dixie Rainbow and Jersey Giant) and a Rooster (Barred Plymouth Rock). I am new to chickens as pets and eggs. Two very small and very underdeveloped eggs were found on the ground in their pen the other day. I am thinking it was the Rainbow as she is about a week older than the Giant. She seems ok but is this unusual? Should I be worried about her? She is roughly 4 months old.

I don't know what a Dixie Rainbow is. I would guess it's her egg, since Jersey Giants are relatively slow to develop. 16 weeks is young, but definitely possible for light breeds like Leghorns. Your bird should be fine as long as you switch her to a layer ration that contains calcium instead of feeding her chick starter.
