Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. We are raising our first flock that we received from a neighbor. We all thought it was seven hens, but it turns out, at least four or five of them are roosters. Needless to say this presents a big problem. We do live in an agricultural part of eastern Long Island so the crowing is not the real issue. More so, the fact that our two actual hens are being run ragged and it isn't fair to them and I'm really worried. We have separated them now but we cannot keep them. We have reached out to friends, local farms, craigslist, with no luck at all. Our favorite organic farm will take them, but they do cull. Please, if anyone is interested in any of them, or knows of someone who might be interested sooner rather than later I would truly appreciate that.
Thank you for listening and for any help,
Jason and Matt
