4 ORPHANS, WHAT TO FEED UNTIL FEED STORE TOMORROW ?

I have a few meal worms, some older game bird chow, some layena, apples, weeds, grass and i could find some earwigs...anyone?

I would go with the layena or game chow whichever has the highest protein, nix on the fruit weeds and grass. a few meal worms might not hurt, if they need peppin up.


ETA might want to run it through the blender to grind it up.

Boil an egg and feed them that. Make some oatmeal and mix in a small amount of the game bird feed after it is cooked. Make sure the oatmeal is small enough for them to swallow and cool. Apple was always a favourite of my chicks and so was ripe tomato. The mealworm will work as well. I would just give them a bit of everything I listed and let them have free choice at the food. Immediately go and get some feed whenever your feed store is open. Baby chicks can die from hours of no food.

Thank you . They liked the egg yolk. i gave a bit of chopped up greens, which some ate, also. Heading to the store to get some starter.
