We are relocating to a city in Iowa that currently does not allow chickens. :hitSO our girls need a new home in the Cincinnati/Northern KY area. They are 2 1/2 years old, we get on average 3-4 eggs a day, and will send any current chicken supplies with them.

The coop/run which is a very heavy homemade one can go with them. It will require some disassembly and muscle power to move.

*hugs*

You've probably already had 15 emails with offers to adopt your girls!

I hope you find the right forever home for them.

When you get to Iowa, will you be working to change the laws to allow chickens in your city??? I hope so!

I have a home set up YAY!

There is a group trying to change the law there. There was an EXTREMELY restrictive resolution voted down last year, but it seems to have been an issue in this years council elections. I am hoping with some time and momentum it will change as it seems to be a fairly progressive small city, and is a college town. Hopefully something will be able to be put in place that will still appease people, but not be so restrictive it basically prohibits it for most people.

I did promise my husband I wouldn't get involved in politics until we at least bought a house and am not a complete outsiders LOL.

I am so happy you found a home for your girls!

You can attend meetings...sign petitions...ask questions...all to learn more about the chicken movement. :)
