4 Roosters and 1 Hen - Can it work?

Quote:
I'm no pro, but it looks like three hens and two roosters. I feel pretty certain about the three hens, just not certain about the roosters. Someone with more knowledge will certainly help out.

It looks like 3 hens and 2 roos but it is hard to tell with that picture because I can't see tails, or the neck area enough to see if the feathers are pointed or round.

In other words, you'll just need to wait and see how things develop....

Based only on this pix, I would say 3 girls and 2 boys. At one point I have 3 roos and 1 hen that were raised from chicks and got along fine for over a year. At that point I added more hens and didn't have any problems between the chickens. I'll add that the one in the front and the one in far rear look an awful lot like my Buff Orpington pullets.

A few more pictures showing body shots and the legs as well as the head would help. I'm not ready to make a guess based on that picture.

Here is a thread on multiple roosters. It gives a lot of different people's actual experience with multiple roosters in a flock, some good and some bad. It might help once you determine how many roosters you really have.

Good luck!
