So while at Cal Ranch my son saw the baby chicks and started pestering us for a few new chicks (even though we just got the last batch out of the house). An employee heard and offered to let him have two chicks that were struggling for free. So we purchased two birds as well (so if one died the remaining chick would have company). These are bantam chicks and I have no idea what they are.

This first all black chick is still struggling. There is something wrong with his legs as they don't seem to support his weight. I don't believe he will make it. It is always sleeping (more than the other three) and has great difficulty walking. I keep wondering if we should cull it but that is hard with a cute little chick. Prob. just let nature take it's course. It has feathered legs and feet, is all black, and has five toes. Is this a black silkie?

Chick 2 -kind of steel blue grey, clean feet, no pattern on back etc.

Chick 3: light orange with a grey stripe on head, and grey over tones all over body. Darker stripe (but still light colored) on back

Chick 4: Chickmunk stripes, brown, feathered feet, 4 toes

Any ideas on their breeds? Thank you for looking.
