4 week Americana cant open her eye

Hi,

I have a four week old Americana and I noticed last night that her eyes looked watery. She hasnt been sneezing or
coughing and has been eating and drinking. This morning when I went to check on her, she is not able to open her
eye. She is still in with the other four chicks who all seem to be doing fine. I am not sure what to do. I have
appointments all morning and do not have anything to separate her into. Any advice would be helpful. I am worried
and it makes me very sad to look at her.

She might of gotten something in there, I use Terramycin anitibiotic ointment for their eyes.

I've had this problem a few times. What has worked for me, is placing a moist warm compress on her eye, then putting a little neosporin or bacitracin in her eye. If you have any polyvisol (infant vitamins, with no iron, give her a drop. Any extra nutrition will help her fight off infection (some scrambled egg and/or yogurt). Hope she gets better.
