One of my 4 week old chicks, who was 100% fine last night at about 11pm cannot hold his head up this morning.

He seems completely normal apart from the fact he cannot raise his head.
He can turn it right round, so it's almost on back to front, but cannot lift it up.

He can stand, but it look uncomfortable.

Is it possible he got crushed by the others or is this something more sinister?

When he turns it round, does it stay that way, or does he just turn in reaction to things then turn back, also, when he stands, are his legs splayed or together? Is he eating/drinking/pooping?

go www.wikeipiedia.com look up wry neck ive helped with sevrel cases on here

Try this: Give the chick 1 drop of Poly Vi Sol baby vitamin drops (without iron) every 6 hours for the next day. I've had a weak chick rebound with this method. I also gave drops of clear water following the drop.

It's not looking great for the little fella

He definitely has a wry neck, not sure how it happened in the space of a few hours like that..
..but he is a silkie cross, so maybe was more vunerable to being pecked on the head by the others, or something?

He will eat & drink a bit, but then his head flips round the wrong way again & he has started circling backwards.

He was so healthy & normal the day before, it is such a shame

I'm going to evaluate him again later today, I don't want him to suffer if he has no chance of recovery xx
