4 week light brahma chick

I bought mine unsexed so I am hoping its a girl. If so, we did a good job picking out chickens because we think we have 27 girls and 2 boys

They're too young to sex yet. Assuming the chance of either gender is 50/50 the odds of that occurring is 0.00007562%... almost spot on with the odds of you getting struck by lighting this year which is 0.000082%

Sorry, but that's a cockerel comb all the way. As an example, one of my araucana I bought as a cockerel. You can clearly see how wide his pea

comb is, just like your little guy.

I personally would not worry much about the comb at all at this age. I raised ten Brahma chicks last year and the combs at this age really meant nothing. The triple row trick didn't hold true at all and even size meant about nothing. Here is a pic of one of my pullets that has at least as prominent of a comb as the OP's bird.

I had the same with my brahma chicks, but none of their pea combs were every as wide as my aruacana cockerel. Course, I had the brahmas way before I had the araucanas. They were my first flock.

This was one of my pullets from last year, thought she was a male until the saddle feathers appeared (that comb was even more pinkish than in the photo). She ended up to be the first to begin laying. Brahmas are difficult to sex on comb, so I just wait to see the saddle feathers to be sure.

The Light Brahma, had a small pea comb but now he has a huge red pea comb. We have one that is fully feathered and I believe "she" is a girl. Her comb is small unlike the other brahma.

They are about 6-8 weeks old. I don't remember but I think 6 weeks for the first picture. And I will.
