I know its probably still to early but, i hatched out a few chicks and they are all different breeds so im struggling to sex them. Im hoping im wrong but alot of them seem to be roosters to me.

Do you know the parents of the chicks? It is possible that they are auto-sexing. I see one is barred and the barring gene can be a sex linked gene. I’m not exactly sure the specifics but if you can give details on who is the barred parent it might help determine if yours might be sexable at hatch.

#1, 3 and 5 look like pullets to me. #2 is the only one I'm sold on as a male since they have white double barring. #4 could go either way. #5 looks male right now.

1. Is a blue laced wyandotte and has red waddles.
2 is a cuckoo maran
3 lavender easter egger
4 buff orpington
