Hello everyone,
I have 32 chicks -4 weeks old- and one little Delaware has always been little. She seems to have extremely short legs- like half the length of normal legs, and has never been as energetic as the others but didn't ever seem sick... but yesterday she got that look of a chick on its way out. I put her in a separate box back in the house- the others were moved out to the coop on Saturday. Coop is warm and cozy and the others are thrilled in there. Do you think she's just always been weak and the move to the coop was enough of a stresser to push her over the edge or is she maybe really sick? No bloody poop or anything, she's just got that weak, sleepy look of a chick before it dies. I hope I didn't wait too long to move her by herself. Has anyone ever seen that strange leg thing? She's got complete looking legs, they're just half the length as normal.
Ok thanks!
