Hi all. I have a set of 7 chicks I am currently raising and I have my suspicions that 2 of these babies are indeed boys. They are 4 weeks + 1 day old, these are hatched from a mixed lot. Person I got them from has an Easter Egger hen and a Rhode Island Red hen, and they were at the will of an EE roo and a Black Andalusian roo. I know these are definitely opening the door for a mixed bag of appearance too.
I apologize in advance that these photos kinda suck. They're wild in the evening time and especially mad because they know I'm about to clean their pen, so also excuse any mess
Thanks in advance!
Chick #1 has had a large comb, not red in person, for at least a week+a half now, and has tiny wattles. Not much larger than the others, feet or legs aren't noticeably thicker/larger, and isn't much fiestier or calmer. They're all a little flighty in general. (2nd photo was taken one week ago)
Chick #2 just suddenly popped her comb this week and I am noticing tiny wattles. Calmer chick, enjoys being talked to. Pretty much exact same size as the others.
This is both of them, a few days ago side by side
