To be 100% honest, I try to pay $15 - $20 per dozen eggs, shipped. I know I'm being cheap, but if someone outbids me, I'm not going to complain, and I can't complain about reserves. I just don't want to spend a lot, because I'll probably keep one pullet per each shipment, so $15-$20 is a good bit for one chick, lol. They're just pets though, so I'm trying to get one pullet for each breed/color that I like. The assortment is a nice one though, has several types that I like.

Another thought to help sellers out... Maybe take a "vacation" for a week or so? That might allow people to "clean out" their incubators to make room to spend more money on more eggs, lol.

However this is an open auction and if there is no reserve posted then buyers do have the option to bid at whatever price they wish. That is one of the reasons Most sellers including myself have started putting reserves.

I know alot have made the comment that the reserves take the fun out it, which it does to an extent but most sellers post the reserve at the bottom $ they would like to sell the eggs.

I would like to keep this auction goin and have good reports. However we're all goin to have to work together because with out sellers theres no eggs to buy and without the buyers theres no point tryin to sell.
