4H rabbits

D'Argents are beautiful rabbits. I would raise them, if i had more space. Are there a lot of shows other than showmanship where you are? Around here, the only show 4h has is showmanship, and it drives me up the wall. Not that i don't like showmanship, but I wish they would branch out a little with types of shows.

Around here we have "conformation" in 4h, but most of the time it is judged by unqualified breeders, and we can only show 3 rabbits each year. Thankfully, the local association hosts some ARBA sanctioned shows each year, but some policies in4h drive me crazy. just look up "nova scotia 4h rabbit project newsletter" it's pretty interesting.

Only 3 rabbits a year? Thats a bit weird. I don't think we have conformation, just showmanship. I live in a pretty rabbit-sparse area, so it is understandable, but still annoying. ARBA sanctioned shows are much more organized, in most cases, and offer more competition in the rabbit's quality, not just how you present the rabbit.
