7 of 11 Eggs Hatched Yesterday & Through the Night. Mother & babies are out and Away from Nest. I candled the eggs, 1 was no good/not fully developed and the other 3 looked good inside so I PUT THEM IN THE INCUBATOR Today at 1:00 pm. ~ ALL 3 Eggs ARE MOVING. Is this Okay or Should they be Returned to the Nest? }}} with my track record on hatching...I SHOULD put back in nest. I THINK I SHOULD STICK A STUFFED ANIMAL ON TOP OF THE EGGS MIGHT HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF HATCHING ~ }}}Seriously now, Shouldn't these Eggs Be Hatching since the Others Already Have? }} EGGS HAVE BEEN IN BATOR OVER 11 HOURS & DUCKLINGS WERE HATCHED AT LEASE 16 HOURS AGO (the last egg to hatch was approx no later than 16 hours ago)

I would hatch them in the incubator and add them to the flock later. Sounds like she has given up sitting. They need warmth or they will die.

I hope they hurry & hatch. I might have Chicken Eggs later on, well in the afternoon if the Hen don't stay on the Nest and Hatch them. She Hatched 1 Chick Thursday 5/5 at around 2:30pm its now in the house in brooder.

Julie she may have continued to lay a few eggs after she started sitting so these ones may not be quite ready yet. The fact that they are moving is great...... and SEVEN!! Wow thats great work!! I have my fingers crossed for you with those eggs. Just keep the humidity up and wait.... and then post pics when they do hatch. You can raise them- or try to slip them back under the mom at night.

Stay with me on this, I don't want these Eggs to go "too many" days past the Hatch Day. }}}} HOW MANY DAYS PAST THE HATCH DAY IS SAFE??? I Do know 5 DAYS Past Hatch Day is NOT GOOD! ~~You don't think she was gonna come back and hatch them still do you?

If she just had one or two ducklings- she may have been more likely to stay on the nest longer- but with 7 hatched and four eggs left- it is more likely she decided it was time to look after the ducklings and not worry about the last eggs. She would have gone back to it at night most likely- but that wouldnt have been enough to keep the ducklings in the eggs alive. When you candled the eggs- did you see the beak in the aircell at all?

sorry i some how missed your post. ugggg... when i candled i did it fast so i could get them in bator didnt spend lots of time looking. i never can see or tell exactaly where the limbs and such are. i only can tell movement. so the answer is I'm not sure where the beak was. they are all still moving in bator & no pips. Thanks, ~Julie~
