Mine seem to be doing much better now. I did put the GSL back in with the BSL and I watched them closely for over an hour. Everytime the BSL tried to peck the GSL I squirted it in the face with a spray bottle of cold water. Seems to have done the trick as the BSL is no longer trying to peck at my GSL. I cleaned GSL's wing wound and put a bunch of neosporin on it, BSL didnt seem to like the taste of it. I see no signs of cannabalism in my chicks and the pecking has stopped. As for the ones at the feed store, there were a few that had been pecked pretty bad and I saw atleast one with its vent area feathers gone. The brooders they were in very short, just tall enough for the chicks to stand up strait in. They were small considering how many were in it
They did have bigger chicks in bigger cages so maybe once they get to a certain age they put them in larger crates until they are sold.
