I got 6 Silver Laced Wyandotte pullets recently. This was after getting 6 straight run chicks and 5 of them being roosters. So I get my 6 pullets to make sure my one hen from the first batch of chicks isn’t lonely. Here we are 4 weeks later and one of the pullets has a yellow comb and little wattles starting. It also looks like they’re starting to turn pink. The other 5 chicks do not have this growth. Their combs are more flat to the head with no ridges. I know they’re very young still, but just for fun or from experience with this breed, do you think this little pullet could be a roo?

It's a single combed bird-so not what you want in a Wyandotte. Could be either at this point. Fine for egg layers.

I’m new to having chickens and all of the breeds, but I did notice the comb does not look like a typical Wyandotte rose comb! Silly question, but do the combs change? Or could this mean that this chick isn’t fully a silver laced Wyandotte? Not that it matters, but I find it interesting. He/she is so different from the other 5 chicks too. Not necessarily aggressive, but very much a trouble maker and a little pest. Our wild card
