5.5 week Buff Orphington - roo or pullet??

So do I! My pullet looked identical to her at 6 weeks. Just keep in mind that this isn't foolproof and you won't know for sure for another 4+ weeks.

Face is turning red, but comb isn't, so not sure.

That is a tricky one! We had an early developing BO that always had us guessing until she laid her first egg, however, she didn’t have near the red wattle development at 5 and 8 weeks as your bird.

The other thing that jumps out at me with this bird is the short, undeveloped tail. At 8 weeks, all of our BO pullets had more developed tails and puffy rounded saddle feathers.

Can’t wait to hear how this one turns out
