5.5 weeks quail started laying??

I feel like I mostly ready after six weeks, so a few days early doesn't seem that out of the normal. I think each bird is a little different and they start laying when ready. Then I guess there is also a chance they are a little older then you thought unless you hatched them too.

It's not out or the range of possibility. I had one start to lay that early. I've had a lot more who started a lot later, but each one is different.

Mines still pooping but im starting to wonder if shes practicing she's starting to do a foot stomp thing like she's trying to squeeze one some times eye look like they closed to push but who knows she is less then 7 weeks

this quail i am talking about mother's laid when she was 8 weeks old..i even thought it to be a male since her sister laid at 6 weeks

what could be the factor of them laying too soon is what i am thinking about and when doing a reasearch all i could found is only about chicken this quail actually laid when she was 5 weeks and 2 days old and still laying continuosly and since her 2nd egg she is doing the egg song

Wow that is early compared to my girls... I have had one hatch ever and the boys started crowing at 3.5-4 weeks but the girls started laying at like 10 weeks haha

I actually have no idea when they meant to lay lol my courtaix quail 5 weeks on monday when am i looking to them starting to lay? Male already started crowing such a strange sound lol first time having quail xx
